news, comments and analysis on the young company market
You are here: Home

Young Company Finance tracks and reports on early stage companies from start-up to maturity. We have two monthly publications, one covering young companies in Scotland, and the other covering young companies in the North of England.

There's certainly a lot happening in this sector - investment deals, new funds, commercialisation initiatives, new companies being formed, and much more. While some of this might be reported in the general press, it is often not consistent or in depth, and in many instances this type of information simply goes unreported.

By contrast, every month Young Company Finance delivers comprehensive reporting, analysis, and commentary on early stage companies and the wider ecosystem in which they develop, giving a single source of information to keep you informed.

Each issue contains in depth overviews of recently completed funding deals, a deals monitor - the most comprehensive list of early stage funding deals available - and reports and features covering all aspects of innovation and commercialisation.

We have built up a substantial databank of information about the young companies on which we report, and on the investors and advisers who help them reach their goals. This knowledge is used in a number of other ways besides the monthly magazines, for example in conferences, in special publications, and in consultancy and research projects.

Digital Entertainment

YCF's Special Report on Digital Entertainment in Scotland has now been published. This exciting sector is opening up global opportunities for creative young companies.

Investing in young companies

This is the title of YCF's sixth annual conference, to be held in Stirling on 18 September. The event will bring together investors, advisers, and young companies to exchange information and opinions on a range of investment issues.

Booking is now open, and our 'early bird' rate lasts until the end of June.
